If you have active listings and anticipate being away for some time, you can activate vacation mode. This won’t impact your response time and rate. You can turn this on and off in your account settings.
If you activate the above function for the duration of your absence, the following conditions will apply:
- Your ads appear normally in their category and in search results.
- Your ads expire normally expire if they reach their expiration date.
- You can post new ads or edit existing ones.
- You keep receiving messages and offers on listings from potential buyers, whom we will have informed you may be late in responding.
- Your response time and response rate are not affected, so you don’t have to worry if you’re a Super seller.
- The ‘Buy Now’ feature is temporarily disabled.
- You can make a payment request to a buyer in case you are able to ship the package or arrange a meeting.
- If you have boosted an ad, it will continue to run normally as promoted. Boosting isn’t paused for as long as you have vacation mode turned on.
If you come across a listing you’re interested in and the seller has activated vacation mode, don’t worry. The seller is still receiving messages. Send a message to express your interest, but be aware that their response may be delayed.
While you won’t be able to make an immediate purchase of the item, you can send a message to express your interest. This way, you may arrange for a transaction at a later time.
